1. Listen
(RIBA Stage 0–1: Strategic Definition & Briefing)
We begin by listening — understanding your goals, lifestyle, and vision for the space. From the outset, we assess feasibility and set a clear brief that balances design ambition with practical requirements.
We take time to understand the challenge.
Every client arrives with different ambitions. Some want to improve the way they live. Others are looking to maximise the value of a site, reposition a business, or unlock the potential of an existing property.
We ask questions. We challenge assumptions where appropriate. We explore opportunities and constraints before discussing design.
This stage builds the foundation for every decision that follows.
2. Create
(RIBA Stage 2–3: Concept & Developed Design)
Once the brief is clear, ideas begin to take shape.
This is where possibilities are explored, tested and refined.
Rather than presenting a single solution, we examine different approaches, balancing creativity with practicality, planning considerations and commercial reality.
Our architecture and interiors are developed together, creating spaces that feel coherent from the outside in. We create design concepts that respond to the site, flow between spaces, and enhance daily living. Architecture and interiors are developed in tandem — considering light, materials, and form. We refine these into a fully coordinated design ready for planning approval.
3. Refine
(RIBA Stage 4: Technical Design)
Good ideas deserve careful development.
As the design progresses, every element is considered in greater detail, coordinating architecture, interiors, consultants and technical information into one cohesive proposal. Understanding financial implications of design decisions is incredibly important to us at the studio and we will assess your proposal from the costing aspect. This stage allows for elimination of costly decisions and changes and most importantly disappointment.
Attention to detail at this stage reduces uncertainty later and provides greater confidence before construction begins.
4. Build Together
(RIBA Stage 5–6: Construction & Handover)
Great projects are built through collaboration.
Whether working alongside your chosen contractor or as part of a wider consultant team, we remain actively involved to help protect the design intent, resolve challenges and support quality throughout construction.
Good communication is often the difference between a stressful project and an enjoyable one.
5. Thrive
(RIBA Stage 7: In Use)
Completion is not the end of the story.
